It's been an all-too-familiar story in my front yard pumpkin patch this season. Flower appears. Pumpkin begins to grow. Pumpkin withers and dies. This scene has greeted me far too many times this summer.

My jack-o-lantern hopes are now pinned on three healthy pumpkins that look as though they will make it to Halloween. As well as two other longshots.
